New Jersey Tree Pruning

Love's Tree Removal professionals in the field understand

how each tree species will react to different types of treatments.

Dead-Wooding:

The removal of dead, dying, intersecting, weakly attached branches and water sprouts from a tree's canopy. Crown clean-out is the most popular of our maintenance procedures.

Crown Elevation:

Removal of the lower limbs of a tree in order to provide clearance for driveways, walkways, and buildings.

Crown Reduction:

Pruning back leaders to lateral branches to reduce height and/or width of tree. In most cases, this procedure is only done as a last resort to prevent complete removal of the tree.

When pruning trees, these are the only cuts that should be made:

•Eliminating branches that intersect and rub against each other

•Trimming dead or weak branches that may be hazardous or may lead to decay

•Trimming diseased or insect infested limbs

•Trimming limbs damaged by storm conditions

•Trimming limbs that interfere with wires or buildings

•Training young trees

•Eliminating excessive tip weight

* No branch should be removed without a reason.
